12M26.3 case studies
The first Baudouin powered ferries in New York are now ferrying people all over the busy city. Designed by Incat Crowther, the 26m aluminium catamarans are powered by twin Baudouin 6M26.3 engines. A fleet of 14 is already operating with more on the way.
The ferry service is new to New York, implemented to help take the strain of the subway system.
More boats are on the way, with shipbuilder Metal Shark in production of larger models, to be installed with Baudouin’s 12 cylinder, 1400 horsepower, 12M26.3 engines.
The ferry was included by WorkBoat in its 10 Significant Boats of 2017.
